Or give us a call and we can get started right away.  WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER? We offer web design, programming, writing, editing, and graphic design services. For a full sample of what we can offer, visit our Services page. WHAT ARE DOMAIN NAMES? Domain names are the names on a website. For instance, knot-eye.com is our domain name. When we create your website, you have the option of registering your own domain name. When your website is active online, the domain name that you choose will be how people access your website. For more information on how the web works, see our tutorial on Registering Domain Names. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN .COM AND .ORG? The suffix at the end of a domain name, such as .com, .net, or .org are part of a system from when the internet was just getting started. The type of suffix designated what type of website you had. Websites that had a suffix of .com were commercial websites, .net designates network websites, and .org designated organization websites. Today, you do not have to select a suffix in accordance of the type of business you have. You can register any type of suffix with your domain name. We also offer email, backup services, and website maintenance. WHAT PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES DO YOU USE? We have experts in C++, Perl, Javascript, AJAX, PHP, Flash and many others. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FINISH MY PROJECT? The time it takes to complete any project depends on how intricate your project is. We have created websites in a few days and some of our programming projects take several months. Time schedules all depend on what you, the client, needs. However, the sooner you contact us, the sooner we'll have your project finished. HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE? Our costs are entirely dependent on the type of project. Depending on what you want, web design, programming, or graphic design, the cost will vary. After our first discussion, we will provide you with a free estimate with a detailed breakdown of the costs involved. WHO ARE YOU? We are a computer solutions company based in San Francisco, California. And by "solutions" we really mean just that. We exist to develop the solution that you need. We specialize in creating unique designs individually developed for each client. We spend time and energy to make sure that you are happy with the results of our work. Our graphic designers have created corporate identities, nation-wide advertising, and flyers for music bands. CAN YOU DO GRAPHIC DESIGN? Yes, we can. Our graphic designers can create print ads, corporate logos, T-shirts, posters, flyers, and nearly anything else either in print format or online. WHAT FORMAT DO YOUR DESIGNS COME IN? Any format you need! We can work directly with the printer to get them the correct format, or we can send it to you in JPG, GIF, or PDF formats. We generally ship your design as a PDF. Yes, we have professional writers and editors on staff that can create all of your content or who can edit existing content into very polished prose that will make it easy for your customers to use your products. Our writers are also experienced in writing tutorials, newsletters, brochures, and public relations materials. WHAT DO I NEED TO GIVE YOU AN ORDER FOR YOU TO DO WORK? To start, we need an email detailing what type of work you want. We ask that you be as detailed as possible in your initial email or when we talk so that we can accurately estimate your project. Web Design: Find three or four websites that you like, and send us those links. We'll take a look at what you like and design based off of those preferences. Include a description of the style of website that you want too. Do you want something exotic? Do you want something more conservative? Also send us a basic color scheme to work with. Do you like green and blue? White and purple? Black and more black? After we know the types of colors that you want, we'll create our designs using combinations of those colors. Programming: Send us an explanation of what you need the program to accomplish. After we have that, we will let you know what further information we need to create your program. We have to be vague in this because we can create nearly anything you want, so it's up to you to let us know what you are envisioning. Graphic Design: Send us a description of what you need and any ideas of images that you want to see. If you have specific images that must be in the design, send those as well. We will create a number of sample designs that you can choose which one best represents what you want to see. Writing and Editing: Send us either the content that you need edited, or details about your company or service so that our writers can create new content. |
